Content
Restrictions
There are no restrictions on content.
Embargo Rules
Any embargo is based upon publisher rules.
WilsonWeb has avoided, whenever possible, artificially inflating its journal count by offering journals with embargos attached. WilsonWeb offers far fewer embargoed titles than many other vendors. It is recommended that Wilson's Journal Directory, found at http://www.hwwilson.com, be visited. There, a complete list of the embargoed titles may be generated.

Note: WilsonWeb offers its unique "All-Smart Search" from its Basic and Advanced Search pages. This search is designed to locate search terms within the citations (and full text) and then rank the results according to where the terms were found...not simply the occurance of the terms searched as with most other vendors. For example, a term found as an exact match in the Subject field, will be giving a ranking of 100%...returning the most relevant articles possible, taking advantage of Wilson's superior indexing. Even the most inexperienced researcher will obtain relevant results.
Indexing
At Wilson, journals are indexed by qualified professional librarians (most with MLIS certification) and subject specialists. This hands-on, manual approach to indexing ensures that users will do "less searching and more finding."
Cross Database Search
Yes. Cross-database searching is supported. WilsonWeb has taken great pains to ensure that all users will be able to easily create multiple database searches with each database having a similar interface.
Additionally, WilsonWeb supports a "free" SFX link resolver feature called WilsonLink that may be used by libraries, if desired, for the purposes of finding full text in other electronic collections within the library. Plus a Holdings link for the libraries OPAC system and an InterLibrary Loan feature...all designed to help the user find the desired information, are available.
Due to Wilson's superior indexing, WilsonWeb database can be used as a starting point
