Business Models

Libraries build a tailored collection of ebooks title by title paying list price for perpetual ownership. No subscriptions are paid.

Non-owned ebooks may also be rented by requesting individuals for a short period as an alternative to inter-library loans.

Licensing Models

Libraries sign a license agreement to use the dawsonera platform in their institution and then have access to a Reader Portal (for students) and an Admin Portal (for library staff). eBooks are licensed from publishers for hosting on dawsonera for one-off sale to libraries. Revenues are paid to publishers as the ebooks are sold to libraries.
